چکیده
1 Trigonometric Functions We recall the following identities for trigonometric functions. Theorem 1.1. For all x ∈ R, cos(−x) = cos(x) and sin(−x) = − sin(x). Theorem 1.2. For all α, β ∈ R, cos(α + β) = cos(α) cos(β)− sin(α) sin(β). Theorem 1.3. For all α, β ∈ R, sin(α+ β) = sin(α) cos(β) + cos(α) sin(β). Proof. For small positive angles (so α+ β is less than a right angle), the identities from Theorem 1.2 and 1.3 both follow from looking at (and thinking about) the following diagram.

The Effects of Different SDE Calculus on Dynamics of Nano-Aerosols Motion in Two Phase Flow Systems
Langevin equation for a nano-particle suspended in a laminar fluid flow was analytically studied. The Brownian motion generated from molecular bombardment was taken as a Wiener stochastic process and approximated by a Gaussian white noise. Euler-Maruyama method was used to solve the Langevin equation numerically. The accuracy of Brownian simulation was checked by performing a series of simulati...
متن کاملWAVEip Final discussion session, 14
1 Introduction This final discussion session was based on feedback from Workshop participants, who were each asked to list three main issues that they felt had been important in the Workshop as a whole. Mary, Janet and Paul clustered these issues for purposes of discussion. Jen took notes (thanks Jen!), and Paul has put them together into the following semi-coherent text. The original notes (wi...
متن کاملPropositional Proof Complexity An Introduction
1 Preface and Acknowledgements This article is an abridged and revised version of a 1996 McGill University technical report [14]. The technical report was based on lectures delivered by the author at a workshop in Holetown, Barbados and on the authors prepared overhead transparencies. The audience at this workshop wrote scribe notes which then formed the technical report [14]. The material sele...
متن کاملAronszajn Trees and the SCH
These notes are based on results presented by Itay Neeman at the Appalachian Set Theory workshop on February 28, 2009. Spencer Unger was the official note-taker and based these notes closely on Neeman’s lectures. The purpose of the workshop was to present a recent theorem due to Neeman [16]. Theorem 1. From large cardinals, it is consistent that there is a singular strong limit cardinal κ of co...
متن کاملLecture Notes in Lie Groups
These lecture notes in Lie Groups are designed for a 1–semester third year or graduate course in mathematics, physics, engineering, chemistry or biology. This landmark theory of the 20th Century mathematics and physics gives a rigorous foundation to modern dynamics, as well as field and gauge theories in physics, engineering and biomechanics. We give both physical and medical examples of Lie gr...
